An anonymous family is furious after a Texas teacher allegedly confiscated a second grade student’s Bible. The family, who’s withholding their name over fear of being further reprimanded by the Thought Police, took their story to the Liberty Institute. Several weeks ago, the child chose to read the Bible during “read to myself” time, but that didn’t sit well with the teacher. The incident is under investigation, though officials add that they will also investigate whether the Bible is considered “just right” reading material as required by the district. As Liberty Institute’s Michael Berry points out, “So if it’s appropriate for their own library, why on Earth would it not be appropriate for their own students?” One parent observed, “They are letting them read the Hunger Games. That’s kids killing kids. Why can’t she read the Bible?” Because that would be politically correct. Inclusiveness only includes leftist narratives.
