The Keystone XL pipeline was once again delayed by the Obama administration, which seems completely incapable of making a decision on approval. But some activists don’t want to take a chance, and rode through the streets of DC on horseback. They were dressed as cowboys and Indians. “We’re here to show Obama, to show Washington DC, the very faces of the people that the decision of the KXL pipeline represents,” said an activist from the Cowboy and Indian Alliance, a coalition of farmers, ranchers and Native American leaders who oppose the pipeline. “These people represent families, they represent communities, they represent entire nations, so they’re here to bring their stories here to say no to the Keystone XL pipeline and to all pipelines.” That last part is the keystone, so to speak – they oppose fossil fuel development. Meanwhile, we hope nobody told the people offended by the Washington Redskins that there were people dressed as Indians marching in DC.
